What Food Can I Eat When I Travel Vietnam

What food to eat when you go to a new place is always top of mind.

The good thing about travel to Vietnam is that there is good, fresh, tasty food readily available in most places.

You can safely eat street food but there are good restaurant and cafe options in all the main centres.

Western food is also readily available in cities like Hanoi, Saigon, Hue, Danang, Hai Phong, and Hoi An, although considerably more expensive than Vietnamese food.

Small shops selling a few things like biscuits, soft drinks, beer and other snacks are plentiful but don't expect the owners to speak English! There are supermarkets in the main cities which sell a variety of goods but they are often hard to spot so ask where they are at your hotel.
